Math Matrix Practice: Find the Determinant app for iPhone and iPad

This app is primarily designed for teachers and students of math. Usually covered in an Algebra 2 or PreCalculus class.

For teachers, allows them to easily generate sample problems for finding determinants in 2X2 and 3X3 matrices.


For students, provides self-paced practice for finding the determinant in 2X2 and 3X3 matrices. Detailed help screens remind them of the strategies for each type. For each problem displayed , if they answer incorrectly, a pop-up message display the solution and its component parts.

The app provides for 2 timing modes including untimed (the default) and 2 and 5 minute testing modes. After the student has answered each question, the app gives them immediate feedback including the correct answer if they choose the wrong answer.

In all modes, the total number of question requested and the number answered correctly is displayed at the top of the screen.
